BAXTER-Funeral services for Richard Glenn Helm, 61 of Corbin, KY, formerly of Baxter, will be Monday, December 23 at 1 PM from the Baxter Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home. Bro. Dennis Lowe will officiate. Interment will follow in the New Home Baptist Church Cemetery in the Boma Community of Putnam County. Mr. Helm died Saturday, December 21, 2019 in Barbourville, KY. He was born December 7, 1958 in Charleston, South Carolina to Martha Faye Ford Helm of Silver Point and the late Herbert Glenn Helm. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by grandparents, Earl and Prudie Lafever Helm, Arvel and Louise Maxwell Ford, Aunts Sue Maynard and June Mayes, cousin Mickey Palmer. He was a 1977 graduate of Upperman High School in Baxter. He enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycles and gun collecting. He was a retired truck driver with Walmart with over 30 years of service. Survivors in addition to his mother include children: Audrey (Chris) Allen of Cookeville, Samuel Helm and Matthew Helm both of Silver Point, sister Doris Denton of McMinnville, grandchildren: Jaydan Helm and Reagan Helm, mother of his children Linda Sparks Helm, Aunt Peggy Fisher, Uncle Joe Maynard both of Silver Point and several cousins.
