Rheba Lorene Ashburn

Private family graveside services for Rheba Lorene Ashburn, 92 of Cookeville were held Monday, July 26 at 10 AM at Crest Lawn Cemetery. Bro. Herb Leftwich officiated. Mrs. Ashburn died Friday morning, July 23, 2021 in Cookeville. She was born June 22, 1929 in Putnam County to the late Curt and Gracie Henry Clouse. In addition to her parents, she was prececed in death by her husband, Calvin Blackburn Ashburn on February 14, 1980. She was a retired factory worker with Wilson Sporting Goods of Cookeville. Lorene was a member of Colonial View Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, making quilts and clothes, canning fruits and vegetables and making preserves. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Gracie and Tommy Roberts of Silver Point; sons and daughters-in-law, Larry Ashburn of Cookeville, Gary and Rhonda Ashburn of Alexandria, VA, James Michael and Kim Ashburn of Silver Point; half brother, Danny Clouse of Cookeville, two half sisters, Barbara Bohannon and Bonnie Tallent; grandchildren and spouses: Jeremy and Jenny Ashburn, Timothy and Millie Ashburn, Jake and July Ashburn, Chelsea and Joey Conte, Angela and Mark Stout, Tommy II and Marcy Roberts, several great-grandchildren.
