Reda Judd

Funeral services for Mrs. Reda Mae Judd, age 87, of Cookeville, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday January 24 at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home. Bro. Jeremiah Tatum will officiate. Interment will follow at Smryna Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5 - 8 p.m. and again Thursday from 12 noon until service time. Mrs. Judd passed away Sunday evening January 20, 2019 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born May 6, 1931 in Putnam County, TN to the late Mack and Esther Scarbrough Rice. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Judd; two sisters, Joyce Harding, and Nella Vaughn; four brothers, James, J.B., Charles, and Horace Rice. Mrs. Judd was a member of Willow Avenue Church of Christ. She is survived by two daughters, Linda (Ted) Wolanin of Cookeville and Donna (Mark) Nichols of Dickson, TN; two sons, David Judd of St. Clair Shores, MI, and Daniel (Beverly) Judd of Acworth, GA; sister, Elizabeth Brewer of Smyrna, TN; 9 grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Riley Moore, Ben and Noah Pridemore, John Wolanin, David Cox, and Steve Wilson will serve as pallbearers. Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
