Rebecca Moss

COOKEVILLE - Rebecca I. Moss, 35, former student at Tn Tech, sadly passed away at Cookeville Regional Medical Center, Cookeville Tn, on June 8, 2024. Rebecca died from advanced stages of Myasthenia Gravis and other related diseases until she succumbed to them. She was survived by her mother, Rebecca L. Moss, Blanchester, Ohio (previously Iuka, MS), Father, John Edward Moss, Nashville, Tn, Brother John Weston Moss, Pleasant Plains, Ohio, his wife, Anna, nephew Avery and niece Ava. Additionally, she was survived by her grandfather Leon Bruton, Allsboro, AL, her Great Aunt Sheila Wynn, (like her second mother), Great Aunt Sharon McBride, and Uncle Terry Bruton, all from Knoxville, TN and Aunts Sharon, Glenda and Debbie from Mississippi. Rebecca and family want to thank her caregivers, nurses and doctors, who cared for her and helped her strongly fight the battle against the various diseases that cut her life short. Rebecca loved animals, especially her dog Perrin, that passed last year and her two surviving cats, who were quickly adopted by her friend Ashley, in Atlanta. Rebecca’s other passions were cooking and giving food to her friends, even though she could only eat small bites, herself. She had a very loving disposition toward all people, including her hundreds of Facebook friends across the country, some struggling with Myasthenia Gravis. She will be greatly missed by all.

Regretfully, we won’t be having a memorial service since so many friends and family members are from out of town. If you want to pay her a little tribute, I’m sure she would love for you to donate to your local animal shelters or the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation, in her memory. Her ashes will rest in Tishomingo, MS, near her mother’s, upon her passing.
