Randy Fly

Memorial services with military honors for Randall Eugene Fly, age 59 of Cookeville, will be at 6 p.m. Friday June 17 at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home. Bro. Steve Thornton will officiate. His family will receive friends Friday from 3 p.m. until service time. Randy passed away Monday June 13, 2022 at his home. He was born February 21, 1963 in Columbia, TN to the late Claude Eugene Fly and Cheryll Yvonne Randall Fly. Randy served his county in the Tennessee Army National Guard. He worked as a heavy equipment mechanic for Crew Equipment and Service in Cookeville. Randy was a member of Caney Fork Baptist Church. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed competing in Archery competitions. He was a member and mentor at Tuckasee Archery Club. He also enjoyed racing go carts, mini late models and mod light cars. He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Donna Rippetoe Fly; brother, Patrick (Sheri) Fly of Dallas, TX; step-daughters, Rebecca (Tommy) Phillips of Cookeville, and Jennifer (TJ) Miller of Monterey; mother-in-law, Pauline Rippetoe of Cookeville; special cousin, Don Fly of Cookeville; and twelve grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Patrick Eugene Fly; daughter, Casey Michelle Fly; paternal grandparents, Jasper Eugene Fly and Mary Ruth Fite Fly.
