Funeral service for Mr. Randle Dean Phipps, 58 of the Harris Chapel Community of Overton County will be held Wednesday December 19 at 2 p.m. at Stevens Street Baptist Church with Rev. Sam Rainer and Dr. Jimmy Arms officiating. Interment will follow in Harris Chapel Cemetery. Mr. Phipps died Sunday evening December 16, 2012 in Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born November 17, 1954 in Overton County, Tennessee to the late Johnnie B. and Genivia Honeycutt Phipps. He was an active member of Stevens Street Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, and Sunday School Teacher. He also was a volunteer for The Care Center. He was retired Superintendent of Construction for Fairfield Homes. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah Patrick Phipps. Survivors include his wife, Marsha Norris Phipps (whom he married July 29, 2000 in Cookeville); son, Brandon Phipps of Cookeville; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Danny & Janice Phipps of Monterey and Clifford & Sara Phipps of Cookeville; and two sisters and a brother-in-law, Anna Faye White and Norma Jean and James Blaylock all of Overton County. Pallbearers will be Trent Phipps, Timmy White, Gregory (Smokie) Rains, Sam Yaday, Glen Honeycutt, Tony Honeycutt, and Mark Sherfield. His family will receive friends Tuesday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.at the church, and Wednesday from 12 noon until service time at 2 p.m. Memorials may be made to The Stevens Street Care Center, 269 S.
