Rafael Alcantara

Funeral Services for Mr. Rafael Alcantara, age 58 of Cookeville, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 21, 2011 from the Chapel of Dyer Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Monday from 12:00 p.m. until time of the services. Mr. Alcantara died Saturday, March 19, 2011 at his home. He was born May 29, 1952 in Mexico City to the late Rafael Acantara and Dolores Sanchez. He was of the Catholic Faith and a member of the Saint Raphael Catholic Church in Houston TX before moving to Cookeville. Rafael spent his life in the Jewelry business as a Diamond Setter. He is survived by two sons: Marcos Alcantara (wife-Zully) of Camp Pendleton, California and Alonzo Alcantara (wife-Ruby) of Camp Lejeune, North Carolina both serving our country in the United States Marine Corp. Rafael is also survived by two grandchildren Emily and Andre Alcantara of CA and a very special friend Blanca Cantu of Cookeville. Father Chad S.D.S. of the Saint Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church will officiate at the service.
