Phyllis Chaffin

Funeral services for Mrs. Phyllis Ann Chaffin, age 65 of Cookeville, will be held Thursday April 3rd at 11am in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home with Rev. John Wood officiating. Interment will follow in the Edgefield Cemetery in Pickett County. Mrs. Chaffin died Monday morning April 1, 2014 in Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born September 16, 1948 in Pickett County, Tennessee to the late Vernon Earl and Lizzy Lorene Pittman Gunter. She was a retired Supervisor for Russell Stover's and of the Protestant Faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Vernon Earl Gunter, JR and sister, Judy Faye Smith. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Douglas MacAurther Chaffin (whom she married July 25, 1967 in Akron, OH); son, Doug Chaffin; daughter and son-in-law, Dawn and Ron Eisenhauer; granddaughter, Breckyn Eisenhauer all of Cookeville; and her sister, Mildred Neal of Barberton, OH. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Mrs. Chaffin's family will receive friends Wednesday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Thursday from 9 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
