Phillip Uhles

Memorial services for Phillip Dale Uhles, age 70 of Cookeville, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday April 15 at Colonial View Baptist Church. Pastor Chuck Overton, Pastor Danny Hembree, and Pastor Marc Burnett will officiate. His family will receive friends Saturday from 12 p.m. until service time at the church.

Phillip passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family and friends Tuesday evening April 11, 2023. He was born December 12, 1952 in Nashville, TN.

Phillip was a member and deacon of Colonial View Baptist Church. He was retired from Cookeville Heating and Cooling after 25 years of service and previously operated and owned The Old Country Store in Chestnut Mound TN.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Rebecca Waller Uhles, whom he married June 11, 1977; sons, Dr. Jonathan Uhles of Nashville and Levi Uhles of Cookeville; daughter, Krista Uhles of Cookeville; godson, Maddox Beaty of Cookeville; and special son, William Koeber of Nashville; brothers, Charles (Gayle) Uhles and Joe Uhles all of Buffalo Valley, TN; sister, Rebecca Gann of Whitehouse, TN; brothers and sisters-in-law, Lisa (Jerry) Massa, Darlene Gambrell, nieces and nephews, Richard (Christy) Fields, Jennifer Hollitske, Matthew Uhles, Mandy Uhles, Melisa Uhles, Jason Gann, and Tiffany Ford; great nephew, Austin Dunn; special friends, Gary and Mallorie Rector, Nan Fletcher, Carolyn and Rachel Gallihugh, and Janet Greer; numerous aunts and uncles; and his dog, Jax.

He was preceded in death by his birth parents John Joe Uhles and Willie Mazell Vinson Uhles; his parents who raised him, Mary and Willard Brown; sisters, Judy Rebecca and Diane Jean Uhles; brother-in-law, Bob Gambrell; mother and father-in-law, Horace G. "Bud" Waller Jr. and Claudia Arlene Waller.

Honorary pallbearers will be deacons at Colonial View Baptist Church.

Special appreciation to Dr. Newton Allen Jr, Dr. Greg Shepherd, Quality Home Health, Gentiva Hospice, and Jerry and Lisa Massa for the care rendered to Phillip and his family.
