Peter Magagna

Mr. Peter Frederick Magagna III, age 82 of Cookeville and formerly of Port Charlotte, FL, passed away Monday morning, April 7, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. The family has chosen cremation and no services are scheduled per his request. Mr. Magagna was born April 26, 1931 in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania to the late Peter Frederick Magana II and Mauriel Hauser. He was a Veteran having served his country in the United States Navy. He attended Wyoming Seminary. He was employed as a Supervisor with ICI Atlas Point Plant in Wilmington, DE. He was a member of the Wilmington Masonic Lodge and the Nur Shrine Temple of Wilmington. He and his wife Beatrice moved to Cookeville from Port Charlotte in December 2013. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Mauriel Gumienny. Mr. Magagna is survived by his wife Beatrice ‘Bea' Jochen Magagna (whom he married June 26, 1976 in Newark, Delaware); son, Barry (Jackie) Magagna of Wilmington, DE; daughters Susan Fols of Newark, DE, Linda E. (Gregory) Tinch of Cookeville, and Terry (Bruce) Bianca of Wilmington, DE; grandchildren, Laura Liebel of Newark, DE, Aaron Bianca of New Castle DE and Jason Magagna of Wilmington, DE; brothers John Magagna of Pennsylvania and David Magagna of New Hampshire; and great grandchildren, Stefon, Marissa, Madison, and Arianna.
