Peggy Roberts

BAXTER-Funeral services for Peggy (Stout) Roberts, 86 of Silver Point, will be Wednesday, October 26 at 1 PM at the Baxter Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Smellage Cemetery in the Boma Community of Putnam County. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 11 AM until service time at the funeral home. Bro. Nathan Heady will officiate.

Mrs. Roberts died Sunday morning, October 23, 2022 at NHC of Cookeville.

She was born July 4, 1936 in Jackson County to the late Edd and Carrie Grogan Stout.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Harvey Winfield Roberts on November 2, 2012, sisters Faye (Marlin) Johnson, Frankie (James) Anderson, half-sister Pearlie (Houston) Fields, half-brothers Charles (Charlotte) Chaffin and Kenneth (June) Stout.

Peggy was a faithful Christian and was of the Church of God faith. Today, we celebrate the life of Peggy. She and her late husband, Harvey Roberts whom she was married to for 58 years served and dedicated their lives to helping others throughout the years. She changed the lives of many and will always have a lasting impression on those that are no longer with her physically.

Peggy was always full of joy and laughter and she passed this along to her family. While she is missed, she will never be forgotten. May she rest in peace and bring laughter and joy to all those she meets in Heaven.

Survivors include son and daughter-in-law Scotty (Donna) Roberts ,daughter Joetta (Jeff) Herald, grandsons Daily Roberts, Justin Herald, Jason (Jordan) Herald and granddaughter Betty Herald, great-grandchildren: Annah Roberts, Temperance (Tempy) Roberts, Maddison Herald, Hayden Jo Herald and Jaxon Herald, brothers Mack (Linda Stout, Eddie (Pam) Stout, sister Donna (James) Kemp, two dear friends Anita Givens and Donald Harris.

Active Pallbearers will be Daily Roberts, Justin Herald, Jason Herald, Joseph Roberts, Brandon Maynard, Donald Harris, Kyle Herald, Josh Kinniard and Brent Watts.
