Peggy Roberson

Funeral services for Miss Peggy Ann Roberson, age 82 of Algood, will be held Friday, July 1st at 1 p.m. at Algood Family Event Center. Interment will follow in Paran Cemetery. Rev. Brent Davis and Rev. Pat Smith will officiate. Miss Roberson's family will receive friends Thursday from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. and again Friday from 12 p.m. until service time at Algood Family Event Center. She died Monday evening, June 27, 2016 at Bethesda Health Care Center. She was born October 14, 1933 in Putnam Co., TN to the late Thurman and Linnie Dell Verble Roberson. A lifetime resident of Algood, she was a 1952 graduate of Algood School and has been a longtime, dedicated member of Algood United Methodist Church. She worked as a sales clerk for many years with the former Variety Fair. She was very pleasant and humble and loved people. She was a devoted caretaker to her family throughout her life. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, John Kenneth Roberson and David Verble Roberson and by sister, Sharon Gaye Roberson. She is survived by sister, Wanda ‘June' Richardson and husband Robert Lee Richardson of Cornersville, TN; aunts and uncles, Charles and Frances Verble, Fred Brown and Estelle Verble, all of Algood; nephew, Robert Shauel Richardson of Cornersville; nieces, Leslie Schmidt and Lori Sims, both of Tampa, Fl; great nieces and nephews, Ellie Mae, Levi and Chloe Schmidt and Mason Sims; and by many cousins. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Memorial contributions may be made to Algood United Methodist Church, 135 West Main Street, Algood, TN 38506.
