Pearl Whitson

Graveside Service and Interment for Pearl Ament Whitson, 94 of Cookeville will be Friday, December 19, at 11 A.M. at Cookeville City Cemetery. Rev. Whitney Mitchell will officiate. Mrs. Whitson died Wednesday morning, December 17, 2014 in NHC of Cookeville. She was born February 19, 1920 in White County to the late Robert and Lula Bohannon Ament. She was a retired beautician and member of Cookeville First United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, U.L. Whitson, brothers Joseph Ament, James Ament, Kelly Ament, Sterling Ament and Chester Ament. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law Judith and George Furman of Sparta, grandsons: George Furman, Andrew and wife Dorota Furman all of Cookeville, great-granddaughters: Morgan, Mia and Lola Furman; nephew, Dr Sam (Shelia) Barns There will be no visitation at the funeral home, family and friends will gather at the cemetery for the service.
