Pauline Parkerson

Funeral services for Mrs. Lois Pauline Parkerson, age 86 of Cookeville, will be held Friday, February 26th at 1 p.m. at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Morgan-Pippin Cemetery. Bro. Mike Palk will officiate. Mrs. Parkerson's family will receive friends Thursday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and again Friday from 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. She died Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at Bethesda Health Care Center. She was born May 6, 1929 in the Cummins Mill community of Jackson County, TN to the late John Gilmer Montgomery and Cora Ann Pippin Montgomery. Pauline and her late husband Bill owned and operated Village Squire Men's Shop for many years. Also, Pauline worked at Citizens Bank and retired as an Assistant Vice President and Manager of the 10th Street location. She was a member of Collegeside Church of Christ and was a former member of Jefferson Avenue Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Parkerson; sisters and brother-in-laws, Ethel and Malcolm Countiss, Jessie Montgomery, Fannie and Bonnie Whitson, and Dorothy and Morgan Mayberry; brothers and sisters-in-law Arthur and Irma Montgomery and Luther and Mildred Montgomery; and by nephew, Ray Mayberry. She is survived by her nieces and nephews and spouses, Art and Elayne Montgomery, Linda and Barry Allison, all of Cookeville, Robert and Jan Mayberry of Riceville, TN and Mary and Jim Dee of Knoxville, TN; eight great-nieces and nephews and eleven great-great nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions are suggested and may be made to Happy Haven Children's Home, 2311 Wakefield Drive, Cookeville, TN 38501 and/or American Cancer Society 753 Humble Drive # A, Cookeville, TN 38501.
