Funeral services for Ina Pauline Brown, 89 of Cookeville will be held Friday March 9th at 11am in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Crest Lawn Cemetery. Rev. Larry Gregory will officiate. Mrs. Brown died Tuesday evening March 6, 2012 in Riverview Regional Medical Center in Carthage. She was born May 16, 1922 in Jackson County, Tennessee to the late Benton McMillan and Dora Mae Carter Halfacre. She was retired from the GTE Telephone Company in Cookeville after over 40 years of service. She enjoyed crocheting and made many gifts for special friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Glenn C. Brown; and a brother Everett "�Ebb"� Halfacre. Survivors include two daughters, Judi Carney of Baxter, and Joan Little and husband Sam of Gallatin; six grandchildren, Yogi Carney, Lisa Cunningham, Jeff Carney, Xavian Brown, Kristin Miller, and Emily Brown; great-grandchildren including Jenny Carney; sisters Faye Moore and husband Charlie of Lexington, KY and Gerry Anderson; and one brother, Lloyd Halfacre and wife Sue all of Granville. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Mrs. Brown"�s family will receive friends Thursday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
