Graveside services and interment for Mary Paulette Thomas, 77 of Baxter will be Thursday, March 7 at 11 AM at Boiling Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 4 to 8 PM at the Dyer Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home. Everyone will meet at the cemetery Thursday morning for the graveside service. Bro. Stan Gantt will officiate.
Mrs. Thomas died Sunday night, March 3, 2024 in Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
She was born April 4, 1946 in Jackson County, Tennessee to the late William "Bill" and Gilla Anderson Martin.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years Austin Thomas who died September 11, 2020, brothers Jimmy Martin and Leroy Martin.
Paulette retired as a home health aide with Southern Comfort Home Health Care of Cookeville. Her faith was an important part of her life, she worshipped at the Bussell Church of Christ.
She enjoyed spending time time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include daughter, Lisa (Wendy) Bowman; son, Randy (Monica) Thomas all of Baxter; grandchildren: Nathan (Mikayla ) Thomas, Dylon (Chelsea) Bowman, Ayla (Andy) Shelley, Austin Moore and Mason Thomas, great-grandchildren: Clara Kayann Thomas and Andrea James Bowman; and brother, Ronnie (Joann) Martin of Algood.
Active pallbearers will be Nathan Thomas, Randy Thomas, Austin Moore, Jordan Swindell, Mason Thomas and Dylon Bowman.
