Paul Petzko

Mr. Paul J. Petzko, age 86 of Cookeville, died Saturday January 15, 2022 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born February 17, 1935 in Bullville, NY to the late Muriel and George Petzko. He was a proud member of the 11th Airborne. He was a graduate of Northern Arizona University. He spent most of his career as an HR Executive and later a Transition Coordinator preparing military members for life in the civilian world. He was very outgoing and always the life of the party. He was known for his quick wit and the ability to make his family and friends laugh. Mr. Petzko is survived by his wife, Linda Petzko; two children, Patrick Petzko and Dina Smith and husband Eric Smith; grandchildren, Juliette and Annabelle Smith, all of Cookeville; sisters, Maryann Sigler of Middletown, NY and Carol Cook of Canastota, New York; aunts, Veronica Fletcher and Alice Butler of Key Largo, FL; stepson, Ron Ellison and his son, Ryan Ellison of Apollo Beach, Florida. He is also survived by the mother of his children, Julie Petzko. A private family service will be held in Cookeville, TN with a celebration of his life in the spring.
