Paul Hunter

BAXTER-Memorial services for Paul David Hunter, 64 of Cookeville, will be Wednesday, January 18 at 1 PM at the Baxter Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home. Family members will officiate. The family will receive friends from 11 AM until service time at the funeral home. A private family burial will be in Smellage Memory Gardens in the Boma Community at a later date.

Mr. Hunter died Saturday, January 14, 2023 at his home.

He was born April 11, 1958 in Lebanon to Marie Gammons Hunter of Carthage and the late Benjamin “Ben” Dalton Hunter.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law Tony Helson.

Paul worked in the Zinc Mines in Gordonsville for over 28 years and later with LoJac Construction Company for 12 years.

He enjoyed doing leatherwork, fishing and riding his Harley.

Survivors in addition to his mother, include wife of 47 years (Married July 12, 1975) Patricia Jackson Hunter of Cookeville, daughter Elizabeth Ann Hunter of Gainesboro, son Paul David Hunter, Jr. of Cookeville and fiancé Regina Upchurch, sister Paula Helson of Bethpage, brothers Paul Daniel (Linda) Hunter of Gordonsville, Larry G. (Caroline) Hunter of Sparta, Tim (Angela) Hunter of Greenbrier, Anthony Dalton ( Tina) Hunter of Carthage, grandchildren: Harley Joe Hunter, Morgan Leanne Hunter, Tori Lynn Sisco, Wesley Allen Hunter and Alexis Michelle Sisco.
