Patricia Ann Hicks Williams passed away at her home on August 16, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, August 20, 2016, at Hooper- Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to the time of services. Interment will follow at Crest Lawn Cemetery. Rev. Martin Thielen will officiate. Born in 1925 in Millington, TN, she was the child of Henry DeWoody Hicks and Flora Pennington Hicks. She had two sisters, Marie Cocke and Nina Chambers. She graduated from Millington High School, Millington, TN, and Louisiana State University where she was a member of the Honorary Home Economics Society and Pi Beta Phi sorority. Following graduation she taught a year, and then was employed as a stewardess with Chicago and Southern Airlines until she married Claude McKnight (Mack) Williams in 1951. Their marriage lasted 58 years. After starting married life in Ripley, TN, she and her husband moved to Cookeville in 1960. She has been a member of the First Methodist Church since that time. She loved her family and was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and wife. She had a multitude of friends who will miss her. Survivors include a daughter, Claudia Pennington Williams of Cookeville; a son, Craig W. Williams, M.D. and his wife Robin Judd Williams of Cape Girardeau, MO; a son, Kenneth Shannon Williams and his wife Cari Casha Williams of Cookeville; four grandchildren, Warren Judd Williams of San Diego, CA; Katherine McKnight Williams Blattel of Cape Girardeau, MO; John McKnight Williams and Helen Greer Williams of Cookeville; and one great-grandchild, Harrison Craig Blattel of Cape Girardeau. Craig Williams, Ken Williams, Warren Williams, Mack Williams, Glenn Ramsey Sr., Glenn Ramsey Jr., Jacob Blattel, and Gene Bressler will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be James Lacy and Ed Scott. The family has asked that memorial contributions be made to the charity of one's choice in lieu of flowers.
