Patricia Mcneal

Funeral services for Mrs. Patricia McNeal, age 65 of Algood, will be held Thursday, March 12, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. at Brotherton Methodist Church. Rev. David Sharp will officiate. Interment will follow in Brotherton Cemetery. Her family will receive friends Wednesday 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Cookeville chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home and again Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church. Mrs. McNeal died Saturday March 7, 2020 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born May 31, 1954 in Cookeville to Ralph Edward and Emogene Swallows Allen. She was a lifelong resident of Algood and attended Putnam County Senior High. Patricia worked as a seamstress as McMurray Robersons in Cookeville, a job she did with excellence for over 40 years. Her warm and friendly nature endeared to many of the stores customers. Most endearingly, Patricia was a uniquely gifted mother and caretaker to her family. She took pride in her family and was always putting forth effort to make holidays and family gatherings special. At work and at home, she decorated to make occasions special, especially during her favorite holiday, Christmas. In addition to her parents, Patricia is survived by her husband of 47 years, Tommy McNeal; sons, Jason McNeal of Nashville and Brian McNeal and wife Amy of Sparta; brothers, Roger Allen and wife Angie of Cookeville and Lowery Allen and wife Cindy of Algood; sisters, Regina Phillips and husband Mark of Murfreesboro, Rafetta Harvel and husband Mike of Crossville and Karen Gentry of Cookeville; and by numerous nieces and nephews.
