Funeral services for Mrs. Patricia Malone, age 74 will be held Thursday, July 28th at 1:00 p.m. at the Cookeville chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Pastors Eddie Turner and Jason Stanford will officiate. Interment will follow in Crest Lawn Cemetery . Her family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and again Thursday from 12:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Mrs. Malone died Saturday July 23, 2022 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She was born November 1, 1947 in Kingston, TN to the late Steve and Pauline Herrell Brackett. She was a graduate of Roane County High School and attended cosmetology school in Oak Ridge. She worked as a hairstylist and as a teacher's aide at Park View Elementary in Cookeville. Most important to Pat were God and family. She attended Trinity Assembly, Life Church and Breakthrough churches in Cookeville. She was a gifted homemaker and treasured her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Malone; and brothers, Rufus Leonard "R.L." Brackett, James Henry "Boonie" Brackett, Paul Stephen Brackett, and by brother in law, Jerry Malone. She is survived by two sons and daughters in law, David and Laurie Malone, of Thompson's Station, TN and Matthew and Morgan Malone, of Brentwood, TN; grandchildren, William Michael Malone, Grant Harrison Malone, Elias Paul Malone and Josiah Matthew Malone; brother, Sterling (Wanda) Brackett of Palm Desert, CA; sisters, Betty (Paul) Thomas of Cartersville, GA, Deborah (Roger) Caldwell, of Kingston; a very special cousin, Wanda Faye (Bill) Clifton, of Kingston; and by brother in law, Donald Edward (Pat) Malone of Paragould, Arkansas.
