Funeral services for Mrs. Patricia (Pat) Ann Brown, 53, of Cookeville, will be held at 11 am Monday, February 4 at First Christian Church in Cookeville with Rev. John Wright and Rev. Hillier Duke officiating. Interment will follow in the Smellage Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday from 3 "� 7 pm at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home and again Monday from 10 am until service time at the church. Mrs. Brown died Friday morning, February 1, 2013 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born December 12, 1959 in Detroit, MI to the late Robert Paul and Mary Louise Moss White. Mrs. Brown was an active member of First Christian Church where she sang in the choir and ensembles. She was employed as the office manager of Upper Cumberland Physicians Surgery Center. Mrs. Brown was an active supporter of local emergency services. Recently the Putnam County Fire Department Explorer Program was renamed Patricia Brown Explorer Program in honor of her support of the program"�s mission of spreading the knowledge of fire service to younger generations. She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Tom Brown (whom she married October 3, 1981 in Troy, MI); two sons and daughters-in-law, Adam and Jamie Brown, Devin and Nichole Brown, all of Cookeville; two grandchildren, Lillian and Preston Brown; and one expected grandchild, Olen Brown (due in April); brother and sister-in-law, Mark and Jan White of Romeo, MI; sister and brother-in-law, Mary Bell and Brad Contrucci of Rochester Hills, MI; three nieces, Tiffany Tucker, Alyssa Contrucci, and Lauren White; two nephews, Bennett White, and Rob (Lauren) White; father and mother-in-law, H.L. and Dorothy Brown of Baxter. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Morris, Chris Holmes, Marvin Montgomery, Daniel Snyder, Tory Womack, and Matt Scott. Honorary pallbearers will be members of emergency services. Memorial contributions may be made to the Patricia Brown Explorer Program, P.O. Box 3212, Cookeville, TN 38502.
