Pat Rodgers

Funeral services for Mrs. Patricia Ann Rodgers, age 86 of Cookeville, were held Wednesday, May 5th at 12:00 p.m. in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Dr. Kevin Conrad officiated. Interment followed in Paran Cemetery. Her family received friends Tuesday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Mrs. Rodgers died Saturday, May 1, 2021 at her residence. She was born April 13, 1935 in Detroit, MI to the late Haskell and Anna Lee Willeford Carr. Pat and her late husband Raymond owned and operated Rodgers Carpets in Cookeville for over 43 years. She was an active member of Cookeville First United Methodist Church, serving as a Sunday school and Vacation Bible School teacher and in the church's God's Grace Food Pantry ministry. She was also active in her community, volunteering as a Boy and Girl Scout leader, a reading buddy at Jere Whitson Elementary and as a member of the Cookeville Regional Medical Center Auxiliary. In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Carson "Raymond" Rodgers; sister, Johnnie Maxwell and brother in law, W. F. Maxwell; and granddaughter, Mary Lee Rodgers. Most importantly Pat loved her family who survives her, son and daughter-in-law, Dr. J. Mark Rodgers and Paula Rodgers; daughter and son-in-law, Dana and David Bailey, all of Cookeville; grandchildren, Lauren Crosslin, Lindsey (Victor) Martinez, Anna Lee (Benjamin) Higgins, David Taylor (Lyda) Bailey, Seanne Rodgers and Alex (Shelby) Rodgers; and great grandchildren, Milo, Milly and Moses Crosslin, Liam and Judah Bailey and Laurel Higgins. In lieu of flowers, Pat requested donations be made to the Cookeville First United Methodist Church, God's Grace Food Pantry Fund, 165 E Broad Street, Cookeville, TN 38501. Her grandchildren served as pallbearers. All services were open to everyone. The family respectfully requested masks to be worn. Hooper Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
