Funeral services for Patricia 'Pat' May Jones, age 80 of Bristol, TN and former longtime resident of Cookeville, TN will be held Wednesday January 22, 2020 at 1:00 pm in the Cookeville chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Rev. Tim Frank will officiate. Interment will follow in Cookeville City Cemetery. Her family will receive friends Wednesday from 11:00 am until service time at the funeral home. Mrs. Jones passed Sunday January 19, 2020 at Elmcroft Assisted Living of Bristol (TN). She was born August 18, 1939 in Cookeville to the late Lonnie Washington and Emma Mayberry Roberts. Pat worked for 30 years as an associate for Tutco. She was a longtime member of Stevens Street Baptist Church and attended Joyce Gentry's Sunday School Class. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James 'Jimmy' Jones; son, James Ricky Jones; sisters, Agnes Grdinic, Linda Gaines and Vivet McBroom; and brothers, James Roberts and Ester 'Cotton' Roberts. She is survived by daughter, Debra Thompson of Bristol, VA; grandchildren, Amanda Beth (Jonathan) Mitchell and Jeffrey Ryan Jones; great grandchildren, Jordan Elizabeth Jones, Isla JoLeigh Jones and Kinsey May Mitchell; brothers, Kenneth (Alice) Roberts and Paul (Eva) Roberts, sister, Reba Gentry, all of Cookeville; daughter-in-law, Patty Jones Humphrey, of Knoxville; and by many nieces and nephews. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Special appreciation to the Elmcroft of Bristol (TN) family for providing a good quality of life for four years and special love to her extended family: Randall, Gina, Tina, Gail, Garland and Kelly who went above and beyond and will always be our adopted siblings.
