Pamela Ann Dobyns

Memorial Services for Pamela "Pam" Ann Dobyns, 60 of Cookeville will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, May 18 at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Chatman officiating. The family will receive friends Monday from 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Mrs. Dobyns died suddenly Friday, May 8, 2015 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born April 3, 1955 in Dell Rapids, South Dakota to the late Edwin "Bud" and Anne Fairhurst Ottoson. Pam moved to Anchorage, AK in 1985 where she met her future husband Frank Dobyns. They were married November 24, 1990 and made their home in Anchorage before moving to Cookeville in 2010. Pam was happy to live out her "dream" of living in Tennessee. Pam was a homemaker and especially loved being a grandmother. She encouraged her grandchildren by attending their concerts and other school related activities. She also enjoyed crafting, reading, and playing scrabble. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by first husband, Larry Hansen, a son Matthew Hansen, and son-in-law Johnny Erickson. In addition to her husband, Frank Dobyns, she is survived by her daughter Monica Ann Erickson of Cookeville; three grandchildren, Joel Erickson, Megan Erickson and Madeline Erickson; sisters and brothers-in-law Janice and Leo Dusterhoft of Madison, South Dakota, Carol and Dick Hoskinson of Longview, Washington; brothers and sisters-in-law Larry and Linda Ottoson of Brandon, South Dakota, Darrel and Nancy Ottoson of Arizona; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.
