Orville Darwin Rogers

Orville Darwin Rogers, known affectionately to friends and family as Darwin, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2024, at Waltonwood Assisted Living in Canton, Michigan. Born on December 13, 1935, in Cookeville, Tennessee, he brought joy and wisdom to those around him throughout his 88 years of life.

Darwin was a cherished family man, survived by his loving daughters, Diane (Mark) Fontana and Debbie Litzan. His legacy continues through his adoring grandchildren, Samantha Fontana, Joseph Fontana, and Christine (Matt) Munerantz, as well as his great-grandson, Benson Munerantz. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hulon Wilburn Rogers and Ruby Jewel Rippetoe Rogers, his wife, Delores Fosdick; his brother, Donald Rogers, and sisters, Rena Joy Cable and Charlotte Rose Pierce, and son in law Thomas Litzan.

A graveside service will be held in his honor on Saturday, February 10, at 2:30 p.m. at the Rodgers Cemetery in Baxter, Tennessee.
