Orena Branam

Funeral services for Mrs. Orena Elizabeth Branam, age 90, of Cookeville, will be at 7 p.m. Saturday June 3 at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Gaw officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 4 - 7 p.m. The family will receive friends again Sunday from 4 -7 p.m. at Cox and Sons Funeral Home in Jellico, TN. Interment will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Lot Baptist Church Cemetery in Whitley County, KY. Mrs. Branam passed away Friday morning June 2, 2017 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born October 30, 1926 in Whitley County, KY to the late Herbert and Cordie Lawson Faulkner. Mrs. Branam was a member of Washington Avenue Baptist Church. She was saved at the age of 10 at her home church in Lot Baptist Church in Whitley County. She is survived by her daughter, Sylvia J. Gibson Burton of Cookeville; son, Dennis W. Branam (Marilyn) of Danville, KY; three grandchildren, Kimberly D. Parrish of Cookeville, Lisa Rimmell (Tom) of Maryville, TN and Gregory Branam (Sarah) of Danville, KY; three great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Baye Parrish, Caleb Branam, and Codi Branam; and several special nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James D Branam; two brothers, Leonard and Leamon Faulkner; sister, Eudena Overton; granddaughter, Laura Lynn Gibson; and daughter-in-law, Glenda Branam.
