Ophelia Lucille Hardy

Funeral services for Ophelia (Woozie) Lucille Hardy, age 77, of Cookeville, will be at 12 noon Saturday January 6 at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home with Rev. Diantha McLeod, Deacon Morris Irby and Olivia Hogan officiating. Interment will follow at Algood Heritage Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10 a.m. until service time. Ms. Hardy passed away suddenly Saturday, December 30, 2017 at her home. She was born February 12, 1940 in Putnam County to the late Alvis and Louise Hogan Hardy. Ms. Hardy worked as a housekeeper. She is survived by a special niece, Amanda Stewart of Cookeville, several nieces, nephews and extended family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald and Melvin Hardy; and three sisters, Elizabeth Irwin, Clara Western, and Anna Louise Hardy. Friends and family will serve as pallbearers. Special thanks to Emma Sue Roberts for all the help given to Woozie. Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
