Opal Nichols

Opal Jean Nichols, 83 of Cookeville, passed away Friday, April 7, 2017 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born March 8, 1934 in Heavener, Oklahoma to the late Samuel and Valerie Opal Beck Teal. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Russell Nichols, sister Mary Jane Beddingfield and a brother Thomas Lee Tobler. She was a retired legal secretary and was a member of Jefferson Avenue Church of Christ. Survivors include 3 sons and daughters-in-law Russell and Diana Nichols of Cookeville, Dale and Mihyang Nichols of Phoenix, AZ and Mark Nichols of Seattle, WA., sister Patricia Ann Tobler of San Antonio, TX, brother Henry David Tobler of Bellavista, Arkansas, grandson Jonathan Nichols of Nashville, several brothers and sisters-in-law. No services are planned. Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
