Olga Langford Kinnaird, age 93, of Cookeville, TN, died on Monday, June 15, 2020, at her residence. She was born January 18, 1927, in Putnam County to the late Wiley Waymon and Loretta Belle Moore Langford. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Gilbert “Gib” Dyer Kinnaird; by sisters Alma Langford Fariss and Alpha Langford Gibbs Coull; and by brothers Kenneth Langford and Eugene Langford. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Jerry McKenzie of Knoxville, TN, Margie and Jimmy Crabtree of Cookeville, TN; four grandchildren, Matt (and wife Kacy) McKenzie of Knoxville, TN, Whitney (and husband Adam) Brockman of Greensboro, NC, Will Crabtree of Johnson City, TN, and Ben Crabtree of Huntsville, AL; five great-grandchildren, Conner, Cooper and Case McKenzie and Andrew and Emily Brockman; sister Alice Langford Underwood Kinnard of McMinnville, TN; sister-in-law Dean Chastain Langford of McMinnville, TN; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Kenneth and Anne Kinnaird of Charlotte, NC; and by many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Kinnaird was a devoted and gifted homemaker. She was a talented seamstress and used that considerable talent in making clothing for her family as well as draperies and other textile furnishings for her home. She enjoyed needlework and was an avid reader. She loved her garden and her flowers and had a knack for getting her plants to thrive. Also, she was an excellent cook. Spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was her great joy. She was a life-long member of Summerfield United Methodist Church. Private family graveside services and interment will be held on Friday, June 19, at Crest Lawn Cemetery. Rev. Matt McClanahan will officiate. Pallbearers will be sons-in-law Jerry McKenzie and Jimmy Crabtree; grandsons Matt McKenzie, Will Crabtree, and Ben Crabtree; and grandson-in-law Adam Brockman. Friends are invited to come by the funeral home to sign the guest book and pay their respects on Thursday evening, June 18, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Due to Covid-19 precautions, social distance measures will be observed. Memorial contributions may be made to Summerfield United Methodist Church, c/o 211 Allen Hollow Road, Cookeville, TN 38501.
