Norman Thomas

Norman Ambrose Thomas, age 84 of Silver Point, passed away Saturday June 18, 2022 at his home. Memorial services will be planned for a later date. Norman was born December 27, 1937 in Madison Heights, MI to the late Glen and Clara Weiss Thomas. Norman was a US Army veteran and retired as a police sergeant for the Sterling Heights Police Department. He was a member of the original hiring group in the police department. His career spanned over 20 years. He was a 32 Degree Scottish Rites Mason and member of Hazel Park Masonic Lodge F&AM #570. He is survived by two daughters, Melissa Bless of Cookeville and Shelly Primeau of Utica, MI; son, Daniel (Carol) Thomas of Sterling Heights; four grandchildren, Austin and Dimitri Bless, Taylor Primeau, and Alyssa Thomas. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Thomas; brother, Ronald Thomas; and sister, Diana Boesch. Norman was an active Shriner.
