Norman Christiansen

A Memorial service for Mr. Norman Christiansen, 93, of Cookeville, will be held Monday October 9th at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Celebrant Judy Duke will officiate. Visitation will follow the service at the funeral home. Norman passed away Thursday October 5, 2017 in Cedar Hills Senior Assisted Living Center. He was born February 24, 1924 in Hillsboro, NJ to the late Arthur and Gladys Christiansen. Norman served his country as a member of the US Army and was a World War II Veteran. He owned a high-end automobile body shop in Elizabeth, NJ and later moved to Boca Raton, FL where he worked in Custom construction and owned a Roof truss plant. He and wife Rhoda moved from South Florida to Cookeville in 2004. He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Rhoda Westrup Christiansen; daughters, Kathy Joy Christiansen of Kailua Kona, Hawaii and Sharon Lynn NIcklin of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; grandson, Christopher Ryan Nicklin; and by granddaughter, Michelle Lynn Nicklin. Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements (931) 526-6111.
