Nelda Hurst

Funeral services for Nelda Ruth Hurst, 77 of Baxter will be Thursday, October 17 at 10 A.M. from the Baxter Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home with interment to follow in Palmer Cemetery in Silver Point. Mrs. Hurst died Tuesday morning, October 15, 2013 at her home. She was born February 2, 1936 in Silver Point to the late Alvin and Winnie Jane Palmer Ashburn. She was a homemaker; member of the Baxter Church of Christ; and Baxter Senior Citizens. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law Eugene and Ruby Ashburn. Survivors include husband, Roy Hurst of Baxter, son and daughter-in-law Gregory "GREG" and Angela Hurst of Baxter, sister and brother-in-law Wanda and Frank Herald of Baxter, grandson Clinton Hurst of Baxter, step-grandson Shannon Maynard, two step-great grandsons Myles and Maddux Maynard, host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Special thanks to her caregiver, JoAnne Jones. Bro. John Pippin will officiate. Active Pallbearers will be Kevin Herald, Kyle Herald, Chris Herald, Jason Herald, Marty Smallwood and Jeremy Helm. Family will receive friends Wednesday from 5 to 8 P.M. and after 8 A.M. Thursday.
