Nathaniel "Nate" John Selby

Mr. Nathaniel 'Nate' John Selby, age 35, of Monterey TN passed away unexpectedly at his home on July 3, 2013. Memorial service will be held Friday, July 19, 2013 in the Chapel of Dyer Funeral home at 1:00pm family will receive friends from 12:00pm until time of service. Nate was born July 5, 1977 in Atlantic City, NJ to Jonathan Selby and Bernadette Albertinas Olfano. Mr. Selby was a veteran of the U.S. Army and presently serving in the Army Reserves and was making arrangements to be deployed to Afghanistan. He had recently moved to Monterey from Marion VA. where he and his family attended the Marion Church of God. Nathaniel is survived by his parents, three children; Damian C. Selby, age 12, Taisha H. Selby, age 3, and his unborn daughter, Carmella H. Selby. He is also survived by his fiance', Madina Mohamed; three sisters; Christina Selby of Wilmington, N.C., Angelyn Selby of New Jersey, and Victoria Olfano of Florida. In addition Nate is survived by two brothers; Joseph Selby of Monterey and Joseph R. Olfano III of Wilmington N.C., as well as several nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles. Mr. Selby was preceded in death by his step-father, Joseph R. Olfano II.
