Nancy Wemhoener

Memorial services for Nancy Lee Wemhoener, age 80 of Cookeville, will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday February 1 at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home. Pastor Andrew Smith will officiate. Her family will receive friends Tuesday from 4 p.m. until service time. Nancy passed away Thursday January 27, 2022 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She was born September 4, 1941 in Lynn, MA to the late Leonard and Margaret Downes Peterson. Nancy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to cook and cross stitch. She battled diabetes for most of her life but never complained., and was recently awarded the 75 year medal from Joslin Diabetes Center. Nancy was a member of Heavenly Host Lutheran Church. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Rolf Wemhoener, whom she married July 15, 1969 in Boston, MA; two daughters, Anne Randolph and Lee Holloway; three grandsons, Logan "Fritz" Randolph, Joe Holloway, and Pete Randolph; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Tom Peterson.
