Nancy Flatt

Graveside services and interment for Miss Nancy Louise Flatt, age 71 of Cookeville, will be held Thursday, September 23rd at 2:00 p.m. at Brown's Mill Cemetery. Bro. Tracy Daugherty will officiate. Visitation will follow the service at the cemetery. She was born July 4, 1950 in Cookeville to the late Claudia Russell and Nancy Kathleen Clouse Flatt. Nancy worked as a chemist with State of Tennessee Water Pollution Control. She retired from that position in 2011. She was a longtime member of Caney Fork Baptist Church and taught an adult Sunday school class for several years. She enjoyed reading and playing board games. She celebrated her birthdays by enjoying grilled hamburgers with her friends and family. She is survived by a sister, Etta Eugenia (David) Calloway of Knoxville; brothers, Rev. Russell G. (Dorothy) Flatt, Rodney Lynn (Molly) Flatt, all of Cookeville and Raymond Claudia (Teressa) Flatt, of Pleasant View, TN; and by several nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions are suggested to be made to Cookeville/Putnam County Animal Shelter, 2650 Gainesboro Grade, Cookeville, TN 38501.
