A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Nancy June Campana, 67, of Cookeville will be celebrated Thursday March 29 at 11 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church with Father Chad Puthoff officiating. Interment will follow in Cookeville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home and Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of services at the church. A Prayer service will be Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Campana died Monday evening, March 26, 2012 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born May 12, 1944 in Seymour, Indiana to the late Cecil Eugene and Doris Hearth Parr. Mrs. Campana worked a number of years as secretary for the Department of Foreign Language at TTU and the Surgery Department at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She retired as Long-term Ombudsman for the Ageing Services for the Upper Cumberland with 18 years of service. She is survived by her husband, Phillip Campana of Cookeville (whom she married November 26, 2005 in Cookeville); daughter and son-in-law, Kim & Dennis McCants of Monterey, daughter, Karen Heckmann of Cookeville, son and daughter-in-law, Troy and Sherry Hendricks of Cookeville; step-daughter, Lisa Chappell and husband Douglas of Danville, KY, a stepson Michael Campana and wife Ashley of Burke, VA; ten grandchildren, John (Kristin) Short, Joshua Rhoton, Jamie Benson, Reagan Hendricks, Emily Benson, Ian Heckmann, Davis Hendricks, Robert Chappell, Thomas Chappell and Caroline Campana; two great grandchildren, Ben & Samuel Short; two brothers, Kenneth Parr and wife, JoAnn of Seymour, IN and Jerry Parr of Centerville, OH. Knights of Columbus will serve as pallbearers. Memorial contributions may be made to Saint Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church 421 North Washington Avenue Cookeville, TN 38501.
