Funeral services for Mrs. Myrtle Lee Johnson, 91, of Cookeville, will be held Saturday, February 25 at 3pm in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Dr. Jimmy Arms and Rev. Tim Frank will officiate. Interment will follow in Crest Lawn Cemetery. Mrs. Johnson died Thursday February 23, 2012 at NHC of Cookeville. She was born February 27, 1920 in Putnam County to the late Sewell and Lena Jacques Bullington. Mrs. Johnson was a charter member of Stevens Street Baptist Church. She was retired from Cookeville Shirt Factory with over 35 years of service. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Delton Johnson; and brother, Everett Bullington. She is survived by her son, Ron Johnson and his wife Marty of Knoxville, TN; daughter, Kaye Johnson of Cookeville; two sisters, Wilma Parker of Nashville and Helen Garcia of Ponte Verda Beach, FL; two grandchildren, Jennifer Caldwell and her husband Wesley of La Follette, Tn, and Jeremy Johnson and his wife Denise of New York, NY; and five great-grandchildren. Mrs. Johnson"�s family will receive friends Saturday 1 pm until service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Bill Bilyeu, George Inglis, Harold Bilbrey, Billy Carr, Herb Mills and Robert Johnson. Memorial contributions can be made to the Cookeville Gideon Camp, P.O. Box 422, Cookeville, TN 38502.
