Funeral Services for Myrtle Dean Brown Haney, age 80, of Cookeville will be held Wednesday, October 12, 2011, 2:00 p.m. , at the Cookeville Free Will Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Crest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Cookeville Free Will Baptist Church on Tuesday evening, October 11, 2011 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from Noon until time of service. Myrtle passed away Saturday evening, October 8, 2011 at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born August 16, 1931 in Overton County TN to the late Mitchell Edward Copeland and Ethel Mae Cobble Copeland. Myrtle was a homemaker and a member of the Joy Sunday School Class at Cookeville Free Will Baptist Church and the Local VFW Auxiliary. Mrs. Haney is survived by her husband, Fred Haney; two sons, Billy Joe Brown (wife Lee) of Livingston and Tommy Wayne Brown (wife Leigh Ann) of Mt. Juliet; one sister, Elsie Nash (husband Raymond) of Baxter; three grandchildren, Amanda Brown Prentice (husband Matthew) of White House, Alexandria Lynn Brown and Sarah Elizabeth Brown both of Mt. Juliet; Two brother-in-laws, Kenneth Howard (Ollie) Brown, Harold Edward Brown of Cookeville.Two Sister-in-laws, Dorthy Marie Brown of Cookeville.Camilla June Brown of Baxter.Nieces and Nephews Karen Ledbetter, Vickie Goff, Mike Copeland and Gary Nash.Carrol Brown, Fred Brown, Phyllis Wallace, Richard Conley, Terry Conley, Robert Frank Brown, Barbara Ann Finley, Glen Brown, Brenda Golden, Elizabeth Lowran, Robert Lee Brown II, Peggy Margaret Brown, Harold Brown JR, Randall Brown. one step-son Ken Haney (wife Anita) of Cookeville three step grandchildren Lianne Perkins (husband Kelly) of Brentwood, Eric Haney (wife Missy) of Cookeville, and Ben Haney (wife Katie) of Lebanon MO. She is also survived by nine step-great grandchildren, Savannah, Ellis, Carson and John Haney, Christian Perkins, Layla, Titan, Anora and Vaughan Haney, Myrtle is also survived by a dear friend Ruby Jones. In addition to her parents, Myrtle is preceded in death by her first husband, Charlie M. Brown and one brother, Girstle Lee Copeland.
