Ms. Lora Belle Brewington

Funeral Services for Ms. Lora Brewington, age 88, of Cookeville, will be Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Dyer Funeral Home. The family will be receiving friends on Friday evening, February 5, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Saturday, February 6, from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service at 1:00. Burial will be in the Arlington of TN Cemetery. Ms. Brewington was born, May 13, 1927 in the White Oak Flatt Community of White County to the late Dan and Cora Sparks Brewington. Lora was a caregiver to many people and was a friend to all who knew her. Her love of people was easily seen. She lived at NHC of Cookeville for the last few years and loved her NHC family. Ms. Brewington was affiliated with the Church of Christ. She is survived by a special brother, Doyle, Jr. Bumbalough (wife Glenda), several nieces and nephews and a very special friend, Alta King of NHC. In addition to her parents, Lora was preceded in death by four sisters; Lennie, Lina, Beulah and Eula as well as five brothers; Lonnie, Jeff, Wiley, Birch and an infant brother, Richard. Pallbearers will be Danny Clouse, Dustin Clouse, Darrell Bohannon, Darian Bohannon, Jeff Tallent, Bobby Bumbalough, Jimmy Bumbalough and Tommy Madewell . Bro. Johnny Fox will be officiating. The family would like to offer a special thanks to the staff at NHC of Cookeville and the Daughters of NHC as well as the nurses of Cookeville Regional 5th floor, as well as the ICU and ER units.
