Mrs. Vivian Joan Sharkey

Mrs. Vivian Joan Sharkey, age 81 of Byrdstown, and formerly of Florida, passed away Thursday, February 25, 2016 at the Upper Cumberland Hospice and Palliative Care in Cookeville TN. Mrs. Sharkey was born September 15, 1934 in Stafford MO to the late Bryan and Effie Gidcomb Joseph. Prior to moving to TN a year ago, Vivian had lived in Florida for the last thirty years, and spent forty seven years in MI. Mrs. Sharkey enjoyed landscaping her yard, making flower arrangements and was an avid bingo player. She was very social with family and friends and especially enjoyed entertaining the family during the holiday seasons and she was always up for a card game. Tessa, her faithful dog, always got her attention for a quiet stroll. Mrs. Sharkey is survived by one daughter; Vicki Pritchett (husband William) and two sons; Mike Sharkey (wife Carol and Jeff Sharkey ( wife Patrice) as well as one sister; Carol Quillico (husband Robert). In addition she is survived by eight grandchildren; Scott, Shawn and Corey Pritchett, Christine Baisden, Brian Schurr, Jeffrey, Joey and Danny Sharkey. In addition, Vivian is survived by nine great-grandchildren; Skylar, Karver, Shaye, Van, Dax, Natalie, Logan, Alexa, and Jaxon. A graveside gathering will take place at Michigan Memorial Gardens in Flat Rock MI sometime in the Summer.
