Mrs. Romalie Sue Seagrave

Funeral Services for Mrs. Romalie Sue Seagrave, age 86, of Cookeville, will be Sunday evening, February 21, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Dyer Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon, February 21 from 3:00 p.m. until time of the service at 6:00 p.m. A graveside committal service will be held at 12:00 noon central time Monday, February 22, 2016 at Spring City Memorial Gardens in Spring City TN. Mrs. Seagrave passed away Friday morning, February 19, 2016 at Heritage Point Assisted Living in Cookeville. Romalie was born in the home of her grandmother, Lionell Luthy on October 17, 1929 in Percy, Illinois as one of nine children to the late Clain and Clara Luthy Hiser. She was a loving mother and grandmother who really knew how to cook, her specialties being potato salad and chicken and dumplings! Mrs. Seagrave enjoyed quilting and cross stitch and was known for ministering to people by sending them cards, and she would always find just the right card for every person. Romalie was retired from TVA and a member of the Spring City United Methodist Church. Survivors include four children; Jeanette Czalbowski (husband Ron) and Edward Alley (wife Linda) both of Naperville IL, Sandra King (husband Larry) of Spring City TN and George Seagrave (wife Patricia) of Cookeville TN as well as one daughter-in-law, Annette Alley of Sandy UT. In addition, Romalie is survived by three sisters; Mary Dailey of Romeoville IL, Ruby Street (husband Wendell) of Ava IL, and Betty Skidmore of Pinckneyville IL. Mrs. Seagrave is also survived by ten grandchildren; Kari Alley, Arielle Czalbowski, Aaron, Lisa and Jay Alley, Danny King, Jonathan and Steven Knight, and William and Emma Seagrave, along with seven great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Seagrave is preceded in death by three husbands; John Alley, Bill Seagrave, and John Horak, as well as one son, John Alley, three brothers; Harry, Bob and Don Hiser, two sisters; Juanita Crawford and Cora Lee Clover-Smith, and one step-great-grandson, Christopher Quinn. Bro. Ken Haney will be conducting the services.
