Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, Mrs. Judith A. Weber passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Tennessee, Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at the age of 79 years. She was born September 23, 1936 in Bay City, Michigan to the late Philip and Jeannette Skinner Patterson. She married George E. Weber II on April 28, 1956. George and Judith were married 58 years when George passed away in 2014. Judith graduated Bay City Central High School in 1954, then attended Saint Mary’s School of Nursing. She finished her L.P.N. degree at Sparrow Hospital and became a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of Michigan on January 13, 1958. Judith was a practicing nurse for 52 years. Boating was one of Judith’s many passions and on December 11, 1964 she received her “Piloting Small Boat” Certification from the United States Power Squadron. Mrs. Weber was a lifetime member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and the Germania Town & Country Club. She co-owned with her husband two IGA stores and the Brite and Clean Laundromat in Bridgeport, Michigan. Judith was an avid seamstress and enjoyed making all her children’s clothing when they were young. She also enjoyed working with ceramics and candle making. Judith also enjoyed snow skiing and went on snow machine trips with her family and friends. Mrs. Weber is survived by her children; Deborah (husband Miles) Moomey, Kathleen (husband Eric) Andersen, and George Weber, along with seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and two brothers; Tom and Michael Patterson, as well as a son-in-law, David Currier. In addition to her parents and her husband, Judith was preceded in death by a daughter; Deanna Currier, one grandchild; Morgan, one brother; Tim Patterson and one sister; Leslie Wyman. Honoring Judith’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private celebration of her life will be held among family and friends at a later date.
