Mrs. Frances Louise Flatt

Visitation for Mrs. Frances Louise Flatt, age 92, of Bloomington Springs, will be held Monday, July 13, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Dyer Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Monday, July 13, from 12:00 p.m. until time of the service. Burial will follow in the Cookeville City Cemetery. Mrs. Louise Flatt was born April 27, 1923 in Lebanon, TN to the late George Gilbert and Annie Whited Gilbert. Louise was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend to many, She enjoyed fishing and working in her garden. She also loved canning, cooking, and greatly enjoyed her crochet and craft projects. Mrs. Flatt is survived by her son, Chad (wife Abby) Flatt of Mt. Juliet. TN; one sister, Norma Nelson of Manchester, TN; one brother, Leslie Gilbert of Louisville, KY. She is also survived by several grandchildren and her beloved poodle Peppy. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Vestle Flatt, one daughter, Nancy Ott; three sisters, Gladys Gilbert, Lily Gilbert & Mable Hedgespeth, as well as four brothers, Ernest, Homer, David and Odis Gilbert.
