Mrs. Evalene Briley Robinson

Funeral Services for Mrs. Evalene Briley Robinson, age 88, of Cookeville, and formerly of Murfreesboro, will be Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Dyer Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until time of the service. Burial will follow in the Talley Cemetery in Alexandria TN. Mrs. Robinson passed away Monday, September 21, 2015 at Signature Healthcare Center in Algood TN. She was born January 11, 1927 in Rutherford County TN to the late Alex Monroe Briley and Maibelle Bryant Briley. Evalene was a member of the West View Baptist Church and worked for the J.C. Penny Company for several years. Evalene is survived by six children; Eva Hale (husband Nathan) of Murfreesboro, Jerry Earl Robinson of Shelbyville, John Ray Robinson (wife Phyllis) of Woodbury, Betty Ann Webster (husband Bill) of Corryton, Robbie Norman (husband Jim) of Halls TN and Mavis McNeese (husband Mike). She is also survived by her twin sister, Mary Dene Crosslin of Murfreesboro, thirteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Robinson was preceded in death by her dear friend and father of her children, Dewey B. Robinson.
