Mrs Carolyn Kay Peterman

Mrs. Carolyn Kay Peterman, age 78, of Sparta was peacefully escorted by angels from her home in Sparta, TN into the presence of her Lord and Savior on Friday, July 24, 2015. Born in Rockford, MI in 1936, Carolyn raised her six children, was a founding member of Victory Baptist Church in Sand Lake, MI. and retired from the Frigidaire/Electrolux factory before moving to Chattanooga, TN. Carolyn is best remembered for her love of music and enjoyment of a good story, especially one with a Bible theme. Her love for children translated into a Wednesday night Bible class at Victory for many years. Additionally, she occasionally wrote plays, at least one of which was performed as Victory's Christmas program. Her love of animals, especially cats, will always be fondly remembered by those that loved her. Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Evelyn White. Her memory will be cherished by her children and their spouses; sons, Rick and Marsha of Fort Lauderdale, FL; Cliff and Pam of Sand Lake, MI; Bruce Cheryl of Dayton, TN; Gary of Hampton, VA; and Terry and Dawn of Sparta, TN; and her daughter, Kimberly of Florence, Al. Additionally, she will be remembered by her six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Bear Cove Church in Sparta, TN on Monday, August 3, 2015 at 2:00pm. Pastor, Jerry Pullum will conduct the service.
