Mr. William Jeffery Cowen

Funeral Services for Mr. William Jeffery Cowen, age 43, of Cookeville will be held Saturday, February 13, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Dyer Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Friday, February 12, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the West Cemetery. Jeffery passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born May 12, 1972 in Cookeville, TN. to William Marshall 'Joe' Cowen and Effie Mae Farley Cowen. Jeffery was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing, camping, and being outdoors. He was a loving son, caring brother, devoted father and friend to many. He was employed for several years for Robin Blake Meadows Properties. He was also a member of Scott Ave Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, Jeffery is survived by two sons; William Justin Cowen and Jacob Todd Cowen of Cookeville, one brother; Bobby Cowen of Cookeville, one sister; Belinda (husband Bronson) Garrison of Cookeville, a niece, Mallorie Garrison and a nephew, Blake Garrison. There is a host of aunts, uncles, and friends. Pallbearers will be Shawn Stewart, Brandon Shaw, Robin Meadows, David Ledbetter, Jacob Coffey and Jordan White. Bro: Mickey Leftwich will officiate the service. The family has requested any donations to be sent to Scott Ave Baptist Church 253 Scott Ave. Cookeville, TN. 38501 for his sons.
