Mr. Stephan P. Altschul

Mr. Stephan Paul Altschul, age 69, of Monterey, passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at Bethesda Health Care Center following an extended illness. Mr. Altschul was born February 27, 1946 in Chicago IL. to Mrs. Elaine Paker Altschul and the late Sanford Altschul. Stephan was a retired Respiratory Therapist and a veteran of the United States Air Force. In addition to his mother, Elaine, of Sacramento CA., Mr. Altschul is survived by his wife, Madelaine Peres Altschul. He is also survived by one son; Matthew Altschul of Redondo Beach CA., and three step children; Katie Gallof of Brooklyn NY., Laura Eliscu (husband Scott) of Emerson NJ., and Josh Gallof of St. Louis MO. Stephan is also survived by two sisters; Amy Altschul of Oakland CA. and Lisa Guzman of Morgan Hill CA. as well as one brother; Curt Altschul of Orangevale CA. The family has chosen cremation at Mr. Altschul’s request and no services have been planned at this time.
