Funeral services for Mr. Junior Ben Brindley, age 87 of Baxter will be held Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at 11:00am in the Chapel Of Dyer Funeral Home. Visitation will be Monday, May 11, 2015 from 4:00 until 9:00pm and again on Tuesday Morning from 10:00 am until time of service. Burial will follow in the Rhea Cemetery. Ben passed peacefully on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at the Upper Cumberland Hospice Care. Ben was born June 5, 1927 in Cookeville, TN to the late Benjamin Brindley and Martha Ann Sherrell Brindley. Ben was an avid fisherman and loved to visit friends and family and talk about relatives and how he was related to them. He liked to garden and watch all televised sports, especially football, basketball and baseball. Ben was an employee with Keene Corporation and later retired from Braid Electric. Mr. Brindley served in the United States Army and was a Veteran of WWII. He is survived by his Step-daughter: Barbara Hughes, of Bradenton, FL one grandson: Russell Hughes (wife Jennifer), of Aiken, SC two great granddaughters: Kinley and Kara Hughes, of Aiken, SC two nieces: Barbara Randolph Taylor, of Crossville, TN Patsy Euler, of Toledo, OH, two nephews: Jim Gibson, of Louisville, KY Don Euler, of Toledo, OH. Several grand nieces and nephews and great grand nieces and great grand nephews & special friend and caregiver, LeeCoe Banker. In addition to his parents, Ben was preceded in death by his wife of 37 years: Faye Elizabeth Herren Farley Brindley, three brothers, Dillon Lafever, JB Brindley, and Raymond Brindley. seven sisters, Lola Lafever, Vola Lafever-Euler, Laura Elizabeth Fulton-Smith, Jimmy Opal Brindley, Odean Brindley, Hazel Brindley, Sally Brindley, maternal grandmother, Mary Lou Sherrell & paternal grandfather, Benjamin F. Brindley one nephew, Denzel Ray Randolph, and also three nieces: Sandy Euler, Shirley Partin, and Judy Romansky Pall bearers will be Jimmy Whittaker, Robert Mahan,Gregory Michael Randolph, Randy L. Randolph, Bob Wilkerson, Russell Hughes, Honorary Pall Bearers will be, Bobby Banker and Lynn Sliger. The family wishes to thank the Overton County Nursing Home, The Upper Cumberland Hospice House, NHC, NHC Home Health and LeeCoe Banker, who took such good care of Ben during the past two years and also the friends who faithfully visited him.
