Mr. Harvey Carlton Blount Jr.

Mr. Harvey Carlton Blount Jr., age 63, of Cookeville passed Sunday, September 13, 2015 at the Upper Cumberland Hospice & Palliative Care. Harvey was born August 25, 1952 in Odessa, TX to the late Harvey Carlton Blount Sr. and Shirley Ann Branscum Johnson. Harvey loved working on cars and spent many years building transmissions. He had a great passion for race cars and was also enjoyed driving them. Mr. Blount is survived by his daughter, Shannon Michelle Baldwin and husband Scott Baldwin of Crowley, TX., his mother, Shirley Johnson of Kingsland, TX., one brother, Larry Dee Blount of Albertville, Al., one grandchild, Macie Sahara Baldwin. Harvey is also survived by special cousins, Tona Simnacher, Stacey Branscum & John Welch as well as many other cousins, extended family and beloved friends of Cookeville. The family has chosen to hold a private memorial service at a later date.
